Abby, I have been following your blog since Jeff was a patient at St Francis (and I was 1 of his nurses). I am so very sorry to hear the news of Jeff's passing. May God give you the strength to get through this tough time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Abby,
I know it's been a long time since we've spoken. I've just heard of the unfortunate struggles your family has endured. I am so sorry for the loss Jeff. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May the Lord hold you in his arms and bring strength and comfort today and every day! Tangela Welch
Abby,
I actually just heard of Jeff's passing yesterday for the first time (there is a facebook group that is a memorial page to all former OHS students who have passed), and I stumbled across this blog and wanted to write.
I realize that it's been awhile now, but it still came as quite a shock to see Jeff's name on there. I wasn't necessarily a close friend of Jeff's back then, but we did hang out from time to time, and I did like him.
My biggest memory of him is that we both played the same position on the football team, and we split time at center on Friday nights my junior (Jeff's senior) year. In spite of being in competition for the same job and playing time, we were always able to maintain a good relationship as well as giving each other tips to be able to help each other get better.
During that time in high school when petty things like playing time on the football team seem very important, we were always able to maintain a friendship and a respect for one another while trying to help each other succeed.
Just the other day, I was thinking about high school for some reason or another, and I actually thought about Jeff, among others. It was quite shocking and sad to see that his life had come to an end so early in life.
I know that his passing was several months ago, and the shock has probably worn off, but I wanted to say a few words of condolence and let ya know that I'm thinking about you and Jeff, and I hope you're coping well and enjoying life in spite of the tragic circumstances.
Sincerely,
Bryan Knight
